Fishing Fall River

Most Fall River fishing is conducted from boats, and if you’re new to the river, we suggest hiring a guide to help shorten the learning curve (we can rent you a boat and book one of the area’s best fly fishing guides).
With so many Fall River hatches — and the odd weather of recent years altering their timing — we suggest calling to find out what’s happening.
Certainly, the stoneflies, the PMDs and others are well known. But the Fall’s signature hatch might just be the Hexagenia hatch, where size 8 mayflies hatch in the evening (usually accompanied by a sizable spinner fall), bringing many of the Fall River’s biggest trout to the surface.
